How to identify the Brand and Model of your computer, or the configuration of the currently installed memory modules.
For Windows: Right mouse-click on the "My Computer" icon and select "Properties." The total memory is calculated and displayed under the "General" tab in the system properties window.
You can also use CPU-Z to help you find out more specific information about your computer:
- Download CPU-Z from our website.
- Unzip the file to any location.
- Locate the unzipped folder and execute the file cpuz.exe
- After the program loads, click the Mainboard tab. This contains information about the specific brand and model motherboard in your computer.
- Now click the SPD tab. This contains information about the specific type and specification of memory in each memory slot.
- If this information doesn't allow you to locate specific upgrades for your computer on our website, then click the About tab.
- Now click the HTML Dump button at the bottom of the window.
- Choose any location to save the cpuz.htm file, then click Save.
- Email us the cpuz.htm file and we can assist you further. It will be in the location where you just saved it.

For Apple Computers: Click "About This Mac" or "About This Computer" from the Apple menu. (Far top left of the screen). This will provide information about your Mac's total memory (built-in memory plus DIMMs or SIMMs installed).
